[O08-P65] Examination on heat transportation abilities of a seamount model

There is a global circulation called the abyssal circulation on the earth.Because of its global scale, the circulation plays a role in transporting heat from low latitude regions to high latitude regions, so it plays an important part in the climate control function of the earth. However, the mechanism of upwelling has not been clarified, and the research of its mechanism in detail is underway.
Therefore, we have conducted hydraulic model tests with a simple model of a seamount in an aquarium to study the influence on the upwelling that seamounts have. However, we did not consider the accuracy of our model deeply, so our conclusions were not always highly reliable.
So, we try to discuss the similarity between model and reality by evaluating it quantitatively. Also, we verify reproducibility of the hydraulic model experiment conducted so far. We will report results of the verifying reproducibility and future tasks.
