[SGD02-P03] Absolute gravity measurements conducted in the 63rd Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition
Keywords:Absolute gravity measurement, Antarctic research, Measurement in the field
We used four absolute gravimeters, FG-5#201, A10#017, TAG-1, and TAG-2 for the measurements. Among them, A10 and TAG were also used in the field. In addition, two absolute gravimeters, FG-5 and AQG, were also brought in by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) for measurement.
At Syowa Station, the measurements by each gravimeter were carried out on the basement of the International Absolute Gravity Basement Network (IAGBN) in the Gravity Observation Hut (GOH), and the results were obtained for intercomparison. In addition, measurements by the A10 and TAG were carried out at the benchmark near the GOH. In the coastal outcrop areas, measurements were carried out at Langhovde, Skarvsnes, and Rundvågshetta. In preparation for future measurements, a survey of the surrounding environment and vibrations was carried out at S16 on the ice sheet.
In this presentation, we will show the details of the measurements and some preliminary results.
