Keywords:Okhotsk Sea, Warming experiment, Soya Warm Current

In this study, we first reproduced recent sea ice distribution in the Sea of Okhotsk using a regional sea ice-ocean coupled model (iROMS), then warming experiment is executed based on the above our historical experiment. In this warming experiment, we used warming difference of eight atmospheric components obtained from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 6 (CMIP6) (Eyring et al. 2016) for the warming forcing. In consequence, we have found that the drift of sea ice from the north side of Hokkaido may be not reached the east coast of Hokkaido in the little sea-ice year through the winter season even if our numerical model may be run under a sustainable development situation such that a global average temperature rises to less than 2°C (case of SSP1-2.6 scenario). Further, we have found that there is large difference of temperature and salinity signal of Soya Warm Current along Hokkaido island between heavy-ice year and light-ice year.
