For one of the disaster preparedness education materials, flood and landslide hazard maps are mainly made by municipalities. These are provided as a printed forms, internet-based and application programs. Despite promoting use of hazard maps, not many of them are universal designed. Meanwhile the social interest and demand on those have been increasing. For instance, in 2021, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport set up “Investigative Commission on Universal Design of Hazard Maps”.This survey is mainly focused on universal colors and present the conclusion of the comparative research on internet-based hazard map’s pictogram, typeface and figure.
