[HDS07-11] Survey on Disaster Preparedness in Small and Medium Enterprises
From the Questionnaire in Amagasaki City
Keywords:disaster, Business Continuity, Awareness of Disaster Prevention
Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are clustered and conducting business in the coastal areas.
These companies are likely to face many difficulties in the event of a disaster. Not only will their factories be damaged, but also their employees will suffer, making it difficult for them to continue their operations.
Although the formulation of a business continuity plan is recommended as a disaster countermeasure, the formulation of the plan has not progressed.
If a company is unable to continue its operations, its supply chain will be affected, and employees will have to worry about their livelihoods.
On the other hand, some companies are taking measures such as decentralizing their factories and encouraging employees to work from home.
Therefore, this study will survey small and medium-sized enterprises in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, to ascertain their disaster countermeasures and concerns, and to understand their actual situation.
The objective is to understand the actual status of disaster literacy among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to provide a perspective on future countermeasures.
