[O06-P10] Aiming for the observation of Pearl Sakurajima -Bringing the charm of Kagoshima to the world-
Keywords:moon, Sakurajima, sightseeing
We were interested in the phenomenon called Pearl Fuji, where the moon overlaps the summit of Mt. Fuji, and wanted to observe a similar phenomenon on Sakurajima. As a result of calculating the observation conditions, it was found that the elevation angle of Sakurajima as seen from the Sakurajima coastal road is 7 degrees, and Pearl Sakurajima can be observed about 30 minutes after moonrise. Furthermore, since the moonrise time and direction have periodicity, we tried to predict the time and place where Pearl Sakurajima can be observed by drawing an approximate curve with trigonometric functions. From these results, we were able to actually observe Pearl Sakurajima. In the future, we would like to develop an app that notifies the general public of the date and time of observation, and would like to help the tourism industry and elementary and junior high school students to learn about astronomy.
