Keywords:technical book, Darwin, Galileo, science, scientist

Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species (1859) was released to the world not as a technical book but as a general book. What if it had taken the form of a technical book? Although it dates back nearly a quarter of a century, Galileo Galilei's Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems (1632) broke with convention and was published in Italian rather than Latin. Galileo wanted to share science with the public, even at the risk of being brought to the Inquisition. Science used to be called natural philosophy. However, with the institutionalization of scientific research, the word "scientist" was coined (1833). Currently, there is a growing demand for the utilization and sharing of specialized knowledge in various fields, including infectious diseases. I would like to think about how to make science "humane and intimate".
