[EV04-02] Using Neutrons to Solve Solid Earth Science Problems
The unique properties of neutrons, such as their high sensitivity to light elements such as H and Li and their ability to distinguish isotopes, make neutron scattering experiments a powerful tool in various research areas. In this lecture, I will discuss examples of research utilizing the features of neutron scattering as a probe, including high-temperature and high-pressure experiments in which I have been involved and how we can use it to solve problems in solid earth science.
