[EV04-07] Data-driven Earth and Planetary Sciences Accelerated by Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Recently, it has become common in all areas of natural science to use data science methodologies. For these methods to work well, it is essential to accurately understand the mathematical structure of the problem and perform appropriate modeling aligned with the objectives and subjects of analysis. This lecture introduces the concept of data-driven science and a wide range of research examples in earth and planetary sciences, while emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
