[G03-03] Comparison of Senssitivity Evaluation in Viewers of 2D and 3D Motion Graphics Created for Disaster Prevention Education
Keywords:Disaster Prevention Signs, 3DCG
In disaster-prone Japan, disaster preparedness education is essential to protect oneself and others. The JSPS research project "Development of a Signage Material Database for Evacuation Drills and Disaster Preparedness Education" (JP23K02821)has created numerous pictograms and motion graphics as teaching materials. Furthermore, a study by Sano and Noda (2022) revealed that when subjects were repeatedly shown motion graphics of disaster-related live-action footage and 2D animations using pictograms, those involving pictograms resulted in less psychological stress. This research has now been extended to create teaching materials using 3D CG animation motion graphics to investigate the psychological burden on viewers. The outcomes of this survey, compared with the similar findings from Sano and Noda (2022) regarding 2D animation, will be examined to determine the most suitable format for disaster preparedness video materials.
