PEPS (Progress in Earth and Planetary Science) is a journal published by Springer-Nature under collaboration with JpGU and JpGU participating societies. This is a peer-reviewed, open access, English-language electronic publishing journal. PEPS was first published in 2014 and celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2024. PEPS covers specialized and cross-cutting topics in earth and planetary science. In addition to original papers, PEPS strives to publish approximately 20% review papers. In recent years, we have been promoting open special issues (SPEPS). PEPS is characterized by many long-cited papers with abundant data and detailed analysis. The latest journal evaluation of PEPS has reached 5-year IF4.1 (2-year IF3.9) and CiteScore 7.0. This is at a level comparable to the world's leading journals in the field of earth and planetary science. We are grateful to the efforts of the earth and planetary science community at home and abroad. We ask that researchers continue to submit their wonderful research results.
