[AAS08-P08] Correspondence between the axisymmetric structure of tropical cyclone and the analytical solutions of viscous fluid

*Yudai Shimada1, Hiroaki Miura1 (1.The University of Tokyo)

Keywords:tropical cyclone, viscous fluid, numerical experiment

The characteristics of the axisymmetric structure of tropical cyclones can be roughly explained by the theory of rotating flow of viscous fluid. However, the specific correspondence between actual tropical cyclones and the analytical solution of viscous flow remains unclear. As a first step towards better understanding this relationship, this study aims to compare the axisymmetric wind of a tropical cyclone at various times and altitudes, obtained through numerical experiments, with the analytical solutions of viscous fluid.
