1. Intro
Japan is a disaster-prone country, having experienced various disasters many times in the past.
However, the experience of disasters fades with time and is forgotten even within the community. Based on the cases of Mt.Bandai (1888) and Mt. Adatara (1900), which erupted in succession in the middle of the Meiji Era (1868-1912), we will consider the succession of disasters at Mt.Ontake. And Geoparks are effective for this succession.
