Keywords:Kitchen Geoscience

Kitchen geoscience is "a series of complex experiments that can be performed using simple equipment" and "not an easy-to-understand demonstration experiment, but an experiment that deals with complex, profound phenomena that are difficult to interpret" [1]. The Kitchen Geoscience recipe book [1] includes many geoscientific and physical phenomena that can be observed using materials that can be obtained in daily life.
Although many of the recipes in the Kitchen Geoscience recipe book [1] include instructions and a list of the materials needed, they do not provide detailed explanations of the phenomena that should occur or the points that should be observed. This reflects the concept of Kitchen Geoscience, which deals with "complex phenomena that are difficult to interpret", and it can be thought of as a recipe book that include some open-ended questions. So, can we actually carry out the experiments by reading this open-ended recipe book? I will choose a recipe that I am not involved in and show the results of the experiment.
