In May 2024, during the largest geomagnetic storm of Solar Cycle 25, the Arase satellite successfully conducted observations with all instruments and captured remarkable phenomena within the geospace. The observations revealed significant magnetospheric deformation in response to an increase in solar wind dynamic pressure, as well as particle acceleration caused by a strong interplanetary shock. Furthermore, Arase detected compositional changes in ring current ions and recorded the largest enhancement of relativistic electrons since its launch. This presentation highlights key findings from the Arase satellite, providing new insights into the geospace response to extreme space weather events.
