Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) have emission restrictions, and it is important to develop highly sensitive, highly selective, and low-cost sensors. Europium complexes have been applied as sensing materials because of their luminescence property, however, they are often faced with a number of disadvantages such as the use of organic ligands and instability. In this work, a new luminescent sensing material was developed by doping Eu3+ into a cavity of carbon nitride (C3N4) nanosheet. We also investigated its luminescent characteristic and VOC sensing property.
