[P3-0790] INFLUENCE OF MAXIMUM HIP FLEXION ON THE PELVIS AND LUMBAR VERTEBRAE ON THE SAGITTAL PLANE
COMPARISON OF TWO HEALTHY AGE GROUPS
Keywords:maximum hip flexion between, pelvic, lumbar vertebrae
【Purpose】We investigated the relationship between the maximum hip flexion, the pelvis, and the lumbar vertebrae on the sagittal plane.
【Methods】The study enrolled 30 healthy volunteers:13 females(18.5±2.1 age, Group-1:G-1), 17 females(45.0±3.1 age:G-2). The Hip Flexion Angle(HFA)were measured in two pelvic positions. (1)the Regular Position:RP(specified JOA and Rehabilitation Medical Association), and(2)the Limited Position(LP)of the posterior pelvic tilt by placing a 500ml PET bottle filled with water under the subject’s low back. The HFA of RP and LP in individual joints was assessed by Paired t-test(p<0.05). The HFA of RP and LP in two groups was compared in the coefficient of correlation. The HFA of RP, LP and(RP-LP)in two groups was assessed by Student’s t-test in two groups(p<0.05). All data were handled using R(3.1.1)software. We measured a 44 year-old female about the Lumbo Sacral Angle(LSA), the Lumbo Lordotic Angle(LLA)and the Sacral Slope Angle(SSA)by X-ray in 4 positions.
【Results】The HFA in G-1 and 2 decreased in LP by 17.9 degrees and 19.5 degrees on average, compared with RP(p<0.01). The coefficient of correlation of G-1 and 2 was 0.91 and 0.52, respectively. There was no significant difference of HFA of RP, LP and(RP-LP)in two groups. In the difference between the X-rays of the RP and LP, the SSA was 20.6°and the LLA was 13.6°. The LSA was nearly equal.
【Discussion】The HFA and the movement of the pelvic-lumbar vertebrae in the maximum hip flexion between the young females and in their 40’s show no significant differences.
