[2H4-GS-3c-01] Structuring Expert Knowledge of Inspection Services

The needs of acquiring the knowledge at manufacturing industry are growing due to the aging society that the experts are retiring employment. This paper proposed new method of collecting and articulating that knowledge through the interview between experts and mid-level workers. The proposed method was aimed to assist the mid-level workers to interview from the perspective of how the professional workshop facilitators make questions in order to grasp the tacit knowledge. The experimental trials were held in order to verify the capability of proposed method for ten different works related with Inspection. The results showed that the proposed method was able to collect some knowledge which was not written in existing instruction. The results also showed that the proposed method was able to shorten an amount of time in order to gather experts’ knowledge, compared to the previous research which required professional facilitator.
