[4K3-GS-1-05] Knowledge in practice that emerges from and transfers in dialogues

〇Hiroyuki Masukawa1, Hajime Shirouzu2 (1. University of the Sacred Heart, Tokyo, 2. National Institute for Educational Policy Research)

Keywords:knowledge in practice, knowledge transfer, first-person’s view, dialogue

This report introduces learning sciences in order to illustrate how knowledge of lesson design is actively generated, used and transferred through dialogue, and proposes a model for "AI that interacts. Traditional learning research jumped to the generalization based on the causal relationship found between a specific teaching method and its learning outcomes in a certain unit. The learning sciences avoids such unreasonable generalization and instead examines the practices in each situation through dialogue among the people involved, extracts hypothetical practice guidelines called "design principles" through dialogue, and develops a lesson model for the next. It adopts a design research method in which human subjects involved in the field proactively (in a truly first-person manner) use the results to further the next dialogue. We would like to discuss from the standpoint of human researchers how such a social system can be realized when the subject is changed to each AI.
