We propose a wearable device called "Kyoko-san" which provides tourists with a novel guided tour experience. The wearable device interacts with the tourists and helps them to discover hidden attractions of Kyoto through this experience. To clarify how the device "Kyoko-san" contributes to the promotion of walking around Kyoto city and understanding the culture, we conducted an experiment at shopping streets in Fushimi, Kyoto City. The study revealed that a guided tour experience with the device "Kyoko-san" facilitates communication between tourists and local residents, and also, the guided tour experience helped the tourists rediscover Kyoto's attractiveness.
