[2R6-OS-13a-05] A Study of Support Method for Beginners of Student Group Discussion

Studies that support students' learning of group discussion have been proceeded, because group discussions have been used to evaluate applicants' discussion skills in job and school admission interviews. However, there have been few studies on support methods for focusing on beginners of group discussions. This study proposes a tool to master appropriate timings to talk in group discussions using a virtual group discussion comprising virtual characters, for beginners of group discussions. A method to expand the discussion for the beginners is also described, because it is difficult for them to expand the discussion and continue talking. The results of a preliminary experiment on the expansion method are presented. Further analysis of the method to support beginners of group discussion may be required in future.
