In the life science domain, many data are published as RDF.
Life science data are diverse, and numerous databases have been constructed as research outcomes, containing knowledge about various concepts and the relationships between them. These concepts include proteins, genes, compounds, and diseases, and are represented by identifiers. To understand biological phenomena, it is necessary to extensively investigate these relationships, and it is ideal for the same concept to use the same identifier, but in reality, different identifiers are often used. The Database Center for Life Sciences (DBCLS) has gathered life science RDF data and published as RDF Portal. Here, we have investigated the link relationships among them and examined the challenges and future works concerning synonymy relationships between concepts across datasets.
