[3Xin2-113] Extraction of information from food recipes for kitchen layout optimization

Recently, layout planning methods using genetic algorithms and reinforcement learning have been studied in the kitchen. On the other hand, layouts vary depending on cooking procedures and types of required equipment, and such information is necessary for the planning. Therefore, we extract information such as equipment and work procedures from recipes using ChatGPT, a large-scale language model. The information is then used to plan the kitchen layout using a genetic algorithm. In this study, we verify how well ChatGPT can extract information on necessary equipment, cooking time, and procedures, and investigate whether the genetic algorithm can create an effective layout.
