[3Xin2-14] Basic study of the Robot that Teaches the Correct Driving Behavior based on the GROW Model

In recent years, attention has been paid to educational support robots to assist in education. Among them, robots that encourage drivers to improve their driving behavior are particularly noteworthy. Previous studies have shown the effectiveness of robots that teach correct driving behavior using videos of unsafe driving. To achieve higher learning effectiveness, it is believed that the GROW model, which gradually teaches situational explanations and actions is believed to be effective. However, applying the “Reality” and “Options” stages of the GROW model directly to a robot is challenging.This paper explores methods for instructing driving behavior by a robot that can apply the Reality and Options stages of the GROW model. In experiments conducted with licensed university students holding driver's licenses, we compared groups receiving instructions from a robot equipped with this method to groups receiving instructions only from a robot demonstrating conventional correct driving behavior.
