[4F1-GS-3-03] Construction of knowledge graphs that represent various types of technical documents
Keywords:Knowledge representation, Knowledge graphs, Technical documents
In developing industrial products, various types of technical documents are used, such as specifications, plans, and procedures. These technical documents are usually written in natural language, such as English or Japanese. To process human knowledge with computers, knowledge graphs representing knowledge can be used. If technical documents are represented as knowledge graphs, it will be possible to process technical documents with computers and to make various activities involved in development of products more efficient. This paper proposes methods of representing various types of technical documents with knowledge graphs. There are two kinds of contents for technical documents: (1) those consisting of various kinds of data, and (2) those consisting of sequential descriptions. For constructing knowledge graphs representing (1), methods used for generating relational databases will be applied. For constructing knowledge graphs representing (2), methods proposed for converting discourses to knowledge graphs will be applied.
