[4R1-OS-8a-02] Discovering Minority Index in Competitive Selection Processes by applying Entropy to Attribute Data
Keywords:entropy, minority, knowledge discovery
Recently, because of the decrease in the labor force in Japan, the need for diversity and inclusion to utilize diverse human capital has been seriously discussed. However, the group that undergoes a competitive selection process, for example, congress election and admission to universities, lacks diversity. Based on the hypothesis that the current situation results from exclusion from the candidate group, we analyzed distributions in two groups that undergo a competitive selection process from a candidate group to a goal group. We measure the distribution with a normalized value, utilizing the concept of entropy. As a result, it was suggested that candidates were not excluded based on gender or age.
