[4Xin2-77] A Study of Online Collaborative Learning Support with Graph Documents for Recurrent Education
Keywords:Graph Documents, Online Learning Support
Recently, there has been an increase in efforts related to online learning support utilizing graph documents, which are superior to text documents in terms of "flexibility of information representation", "information analysis", and "visualization". This study focuses on recurrent education that working people continue to learn throughout their lives after leaving school. It examines the effectiveness of graph documents in such a learning environment. To create graph documents and conduct collaborative learning online, we constructed an online learning environment that combines a tool to support the collaborative creation of graph documents and a web conferencing service. As a trial, we evaluated a demonstration at a learning site for working people and others. The results showed that using graph documents for online group work was more effective than text documents in improving the quality of discussions.
