Focusing on the Representation of Historical and Cultural Knowledge

This paper shows the fundamental theory of representing humanities and social science knowledge through knowledge graphs, with revisits the problem of how URIs represent real-world entities. As examples, using data related to history, cultural heritage and digital archives that the author has constructed so far, the paper describes how knowledge can be organised when describing it as a knowledge graph and what becomes possible by doing so. It is hoped that these discussions and models will make it easier to start using knowledge graphs to represent humanities and sociology knowledge, which has been considered difficult.
