[13a-2G-10] Development of a polarization-resolved spectral interferometer to measure time-dependent polarization pulses in the ultraviolet region

Keywords:polarization-resolved spectral interferometer,aligned molecules,the third harmonics

In our previous studies, we investigated the polarization states of the third harmonics generated from aligned molecules, and found that the ellipticity and the orientation angle strongly depend on the state of the alignment. In order to deeply understand the generation mechanisms of the third harmonics from the aligned molecules, we need to know not only the static polarization state but also the time-dependence of the polarization during the pulse. For this purpose we developed a polarization-resolved spectral interferometer in the ultraviolet regions. In the lecture, we will discuss in detail the dominant factors to determine the polarization state of the third harmonics generated from aligned molecules.
