Recently, a nonadiabatic molecular orientation is reported by using a two-color ultrafast laser pulses. In these experiments, the reported degrees of orientation is fairly large compared to expected degrees of orientation under a common condition of such experiments, which triggers a discussion on the mechanism of the generation of orientation states. We are trying to understand in detail the mechanism of the orentation by comparing the high-order harmonics and the fragment ions generated from the moleular samples oriented under the same conditions.
