We investigated the influence of Raman scattering on Kerr frequency comb generation in a silica toroid microcavity. Recently, Kerr frequency comb generation with a high quality-factor microcavity has been intensively researched because this can enable us to access comb source with low-input power and small devices. A silica toroid microcavity exhibits high quality factor and can be made on chip. Kerr frequency comb generation is a result of cascade four-wave mixing in a microcavity. Here, we firstly analyzed an effect of Raman scattering on Kerr frequency comb generation in a silica toroid microcavity.
