△ [14a-2K-10] Development of Ultrasonic velocity-change imaging system for fatty liver diagnosis
Keywords:Ultrasonic velocity,Tissue characterization,Fatty liver
We have already proposed ultrasonic velocity-change imaging method based on the property that the temperature coefficient is positive for water and negative for fat. Using the ultrasonic velocity-change imaging equipment consisted of the commercial diagnostic ultrasound equipment and the ultrasonic transducer for warming the fatty liver of living rabbit, it was confirmed that the ultrasonic velocity-change images reflect the fat accumulation level of rabbit’s liver. In this study, we made a new velocity-change imaging equipment for human fatty liver diagnosis which has the ultrasonic array transducer with combined function of imaging and warming for convenience of clinical application. The validity of this equipment was verified by applying to the tissue mimic phantom including the fatty area.
