The blood vessel plaque with a lipid core has a risk of thrombus and is likely to bring on acute heart disease. In order to prevent these diseases, it is necessary to diagnose structure materials of the plaque as well as size. We already proposed the method for identifying lipid domains by changes in the ultrasonic propagation velocity by warming and have made basic experiments. In this study, the prototype equipment was applied to the vessel phantom containing the mimic plaque in which water flew instead of blood. We confirmed that the cooling effect by blood flow contributed to reconstruction of the ultrasonic velocity-change image.
