[14a-PB6-5] STM observation of Ge on Au(111) surface

金属を用いた半導体の結晶化の挙動に関する知見を得るために、Au(111)薄膜上にGeを蒸着し、その挙動をSTMで観察した。すると、平坦で六角形の形をした島が多数見られた。これらの島は比較的短時間で消滅した。通常、Au(111)表面において短時間でのステップの変形や消滅は起きないため、これらの島の流動性は高いことが示唆される。
