[14p-2H-6] Spin-glass behaviors of LuFe_5-2xCo_xSi_xO₁₂ garnet thin films

Statistical physics of spin-glass (SG) has been intensively studied in the field of neural network models, so that the characteristics of SG may be applied to novel memory devices that mimic neural behaviors. In this research, LuFe_5-2xCo_xSi_xO₁₂ single crystalline thin films, in which spin “randomness” and “frustration” are induced by the substitution of non-magnetic elements, are grown by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and the SG magnetism are investigated detail by using superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID).
