[14p-2K-17] Synthesis of AgGaS₂ polycrystals by microwave process using a domestic microwave oven

For nonlinear optical crystal AgGaS₂, polycrystals were synthesized by microwave heating method using a domestic microwave oven in reference to the Ag₂S-Ga₂S₃ pseudbinary phase diagram. As a result, the AgGaS₂ polycrystals synthesized from the melt of Ag₂S ratio 60 mol% exhibited sharp exciton emission lines in the band-edge region.
