Using fuel cell is an ecological method of power generation. Especially, direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) is expected to be practical application in a wide range of fields because it offers the benefit of small size, light weight. DMFC has high efficiency power generation when the concentration of its circulating fuel is 2~3wt%. Continuous measurement of liquid properties in the liquid flow tube is an important application of a shear horizontal surface acoustic wave (SH-SAW) sensor. The previous research proposed that method of determining the concentration of methanol (MeOH) in DMFC. In this paper, we measured concentration using the sensor which is different to previous one, and measurement conducted on two conditions of 120min and 180min. Our results showed reasonable values and responded to supplying fuels promptly. Therefore, our research indicated that a method of the determining concentration of MeOH is valid for various SH-SAW sensors.
