[14p-PB4-3] Measurements of droplet position, volume and concentration using surface acoustic wave

〇Jun Kondoh1, Ken Sugiura1 (1.Shizuoka University)

Keywords:surface acoustic wave

Reflection responses from the surface acoustic wave with or without droplet which is on the surface were different. We made a thorough investigation of the cause of that mechanism. As assuming that the radiated longitudinal wave from SAW at liquid/solid interface face propagates in the droplet and it converts to the SAW at the interface, the mechanism can be explained. The results indicate that the droplet position is determined from the reflection signal. Moreover, using the results, volume and concentration of droplet can be estimated.
