We have developed the all-fiber, ultrafast, all-optical signal control technique using a nonlinear optical phenomenon of pulse trapping in a nonlinear optical loop mirror. In this study, we have analyzed the all-optical sampling for a 1.8 ps pulse and a pulse train with a 3.2 ps temporal separation, both experimentally and numerically. The reconstructed waveform of the pulse train was obtained.
