Circularly polarized light (CPL) is essential to clarify the interaction between photon and spin in nanoscale. We have proposed that an aperture antenna with V-groove structures made of Au can enhance nanosized CPL, and the great intensity enhancement of CPL is due to the enhancement effect of channel plasmon polaritons (CPPs) generated in the V-groove structures. In this talk, we fabricated the aperture antenna with V-groove structures using focus ion beam (FIB) technique on gold film. The measurement results by aperture-less scanning near-field optical microscopy (a-SNOM) indicated that strong electric field was generated in the bottom of the V-groove structures and in the center of the aperture antenna structure. We considered that the CPPs generated in the V-groove structures were responsible for the strong electric field.
