Organic schottky diodes are indispensable elements for electrical devices such as rectifying circuits, matrix circuits, and electrostatic protection circuits. For those applications, air-stability, rectification ratio, and current density are important. We have tried to improve the electric characteristics of diodes using air-stable organic semiconductors and electrodes. We developed a new device structure to realize an organic schottky diode that can achieve current densities of 58 A/cm2 (+2.6 V) and rectification ratios of 8.6×105.
