Our previous study suggested that a species of protein molecule, eluted from inside the cell to the outside across the membrane, varies by application of an AC electric field. In this study, we studied the influence of the AC electric field on permeation system of cell membrane. The AC electric field was applied to the gonad of sea urchin. The gonad was immersed into NaCl solution and centrifuged. The supernatant includes protein eluted from the inside the cell. Concentration of the protein in NaCl solution was measured by The Bradford assay. As a result, the AC electric field decreased the protein permeation of the gonad. This can be concluded that the AC electric field suppresses the permeation system of the cell membrane of the gonad.
