γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) as an inhibitory transmitter, and glutamate as an excitatory transmitter play important roles for cerebral function. In our previous work, a charge-coupled device pH image sensor which was adopted a specific enzyme-immobilized membrane to detect neurotransmitter such as ACh (Acetylcholine) and ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) has been reported. In this work, we began to study for the fabricating GABA and glutamate image sensors which are adopted an enzyme-immobilized membrane.
