△ [16a-1B-9] Preparation and evaluation of transparent p-type semiconducting γ-CuI thin films.

γ-CuI is expected to be a high-mobility transparent p-type semiconductor because its valence band is mainly composed of iodide 5p state. We have developed a novel method for the synthesis of truly transparent γ-CuI films with smooth surface. Such γ-CuI films are obtained by the chemical reaction between Cu₃N films and solid-state iodide. In this presentation, we will present electrical and optical properties of the γ-CuI films.
