[16p-2E-5] Stability of Temperature Characteristics in External Cavity Quantum Dot Comb Laser

We investigated the temperature characteristics of the external-cavity QD comb laser with 1.8 THz spacing. We obtained four-wavelength simultaneous oscillation and clear eye openings of signals modulated in 25-Gbps NRZ format using filtered individual longitudinal mode after 10 km fiber transmission at the temperature range between 40 ºC and 80 ºC. These results indicate that QD comb laser with external cavity is promising candidate for achieving light sources that can produce several-wavelength-channels for future high-speed WDM systems.
