A novel Fermi-level managed barrier (FMB) diode is proposed to achieve broadband and sensitive THz-wave detection. Fabricated FMB diode integrating a broadband planar antenna exhibited broad operational bandwidth with high detection sensitivity and linear input-output characteristics.
