▼ [13a-A34-2] Numerical approach of the weak localization model beyond the diffusion approximation based on the return probability
Keywords:weak localization/antilocalization, spin-orbit interaction, numerical simulation
In this presentation, we show a numerical approach of the weak localization (WL) model beyond the diffusion approximation based on the return probability, where a collection of closed loop paths generated by a pseudo random number generator assuming the Boltzmannian electrons is used repeatedly. We also show a general way to calculate WL curves and reproduced the results of the Dmitriev model [A. P. Dmitriev et al., Phys. Rev. B 56, 9910 (1997).], which incorporate the correction of the nonbackscattering contributions. Moreover, we evaluate the statistical deviation of our numerical approach, which is enough small for fitting experimental data. Our numerical approach is easier than numerical evaluation of analytical formulae. In addition, it includes the straightforward extensibility to make it possible to incorporate any interaction like SOIs, Zeeman effect and valley degeneracy.
