Electric double layer OFETs have been paid attention for their low operating voltage, but structural information of the channel regions is not known due to the lack of appropriate tools. In this study, we provide the structural properties of ionic liquid / rubrene single crystal interfaces by using AFM and MD simulation and discuss the relationship between the interface structure and device performance.
