▲ [13p-A41-6] Time- and Space-resolved OES on Pin-to-Water-Surface He DBD Jet
Keywords:plasma, water, OES
We have applied space- and time-resolved OES on a He DBD jet generated between syringe and water surface, and observed temporal and spatial evolution of optical emission by He, OH(A), Hα, and N2. We have observed streamer propagation toward the direction depending on the electrode polarity, and also observed formation of a positive column, Faraday dark, and negative glow. However, emission profiles after establishing discharge have shown similar profiles for both polarities. This indicates that spatial profiles of active species are not governed by discharge structure but by gas-phase composition on water surface. Details are discussed together with numerical simulation results.
