Recent material developments enabled fabrication of organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) including solution-processed four-layer films consisted of hole-injection layer/hole-transporting layer (HTL)/light-emitting layer (EML)/electron-transporting layer (ETL), resulted in large improvements of OLED characteristics. To further improve the OLED characteristics, precise evaluation of the solution-processed interfaces is essential. In this work, we, for the first time, succeeded in the precise evaluation of the solution processed polymer HTL/small molecule EML/small molecule ETL interfaces with sub-nanometer ordered resolution along the depth direction by neutron reflectometry, and elucidated the influences of the interfaces on the OLED characteristics.
